Brooke Tennant reads the weather on Minneapolis morning television, and she has a theory about winter: people only pair up because it’s cold. So when her furnace quits on the first hard freeze, she offers her best friend Cody a deal. They will keep each other warm until the first fifty degree day, and then it ends. Cody has been in love with her since the day they met, so he agrees, and now he has one winter to make her want spring to wait.
